THE NRL has today released the draw for the final six rounds of the Premiership, highlighted by the Round 26 blockbuster clash between Stadium Australia home teams, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and South Sydney Rabbitohs.
The final round Friday night clash between the 2014 grand finalists could potentially see the teams playing off for crucial finals positions and is guaranteed to bring fireworks.
It’s an action-packed Round 21, with arch-rivals the Bulldogs and Dragons duking it out on Friday 29 July, followed by the battle of Best in the West when the Eels and Tigers go head-to-head on Saturday 30 July. And it’s good news for Club Members, with Reciprocal Rights in play for both games. The Round 21 weekend is rounded off with a classic Sunday afternoon clash between the Rabbitohs and Raiders.
NRL CEO Todd Greenberg said the final six rounds would provide some crucial match-ups that would ultimately decide the make-up of the top eight, the top four and also the minor premiership.
“We know there will be huge interest in those rounds as the teams battle for a place in the Finals,” he said.
“We are no doubt headed for another close finish. As usual this is a competition which will likely keep us all guessing until the very last match.”
