SYDNEY Olympic Park will come alive this Saturday as a sea of gold descends on Stadium Australia for the first-ever Australia v New Zealand Double-Header in Australia.

The Buildcorp Wallaroos and Qantas Wallabies will play back-to-back in games against the Black Ferns and All Blacks in a historic event for Australian Rugby.

But before the players hit the pitch a huge celebration will be held in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct from 3:30pm.

With a cracking atmosphere on the way, here is everything you need to make sure you have an unforgettable night.

WHAT TIME DOES IT START?       

  • 3:30pm: Huge pre-Bledisloe celebration kicks off outside Stadium Australia;
  • 4:45pm: Gates Open
  • 5:15pm: Buildcorp Wallaroos v Black Ferns
  • 7:45pm: Qantas Wallabies v All Blacks 

PRE-BLEDISLOE CELEBRATIONS

From 3:30pm on Saturday fans are invited to Sydney Olympic Park for a celebration of food, drink, entertainment and all things Rugby. 

Fans can hit the entertainment area in Cathy Freeman Park with a marquee and bar, live entertainment and a host of activity spaces for the whole family. The marquee will also double as the meeting point for the Gold Brigade.

International DJ YO! Mafia will be doing a special apperance in the precinct across from Stadium Australia, playing an epic set of Australian and New Zealand anthems. 

Hungry? Olympic Boulevard will be transformed into a “Boulevard of Bites” on Saturday as a number of internationally themed street food pop-up stalls take over the area. 

Plus, more than 20 static cafes, bars and restaurants will be open both before AND after the game in Sydney Olympic Park which will have you covered for a feed any time of day. Check the full list here.

Directly outside Stadium Australia’s Gate C will be a host of sponsor activations and fan experience stalls to get you warmed up before you head inside.

As a special for Bledisloe fans, there will be $2.50 sausage rolls available on Levels 1, 4 and 6 of Stadium Australia for the first two hours of the night from 4:45pm on Saturday. 

HOW CAN I GET TO THE GAME?

Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early and enjoy a full day of activities and beat the late afternoon rush ahead of the game.

Where possible, leave the car at home and take advantage of the return travel on ALL public transport (trains, buses, ferries & light rail) included in your tickets to the game. You can plan your trip using the Transport for NSW Trip Planner here.

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses are running for the game and will begin between 3:05pm and 3:45pm, depending on the route. 

Additional direct train services will be running regularly to Olympic Park Station from both eastern and western Sydney.

Best plan is to leave the car at home, but if you must drive it is vital you pre-book your parking spot here.

WHAT’S THE FORECAST?

Perfect conditions forecast! Mostly sunny with a maximum of 22C in Sydney Olympic Park on Sunday; 18C at kick-off for the Wallaroos game and 14C at Bledisloe kick-off. 

SAFETY AND SECURITY AT ANZ STADIUM

Public safety is our No.1 priority at Stadium Australia.

The Stadium works closely with NSW Police and other authorities to ensure everyone’s safety at all events.

A high NSW Police and Security presence will be in place for the Australia v New Zealand Double Header, both inside Stadium Australia and throughout the Sydney Olympic Park precinct before, during and after the event.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and leave additional time for the security screening process when entering the Stadium. This process will include mandatory bag searches and personal checks.

Only small bags (no larger than 30cm x 40cm) are permitted into Stadium Australia for events, and all bags will be checked by security. Fans should arrive without bags if possible.
