TWO Super Rugby games and the ultimate trans-Tasman battle for the Bledisloe Cup have been confirmed at Stadium Australia in 2014.
The NSW Waratahs will play two of their biggest games of the season at Stadium Australia – against arch-rivals the Queensland Reds on Saturday 1 March and the ACT Brumbies on Saturday 28 June.
Then on Saturday 16 August, the rugby rivalry turns international when the Wallabies face the might of the All Blacks for the symbol of trans-Tasman supremacy that has eluded them for the past 12 years, the Bledisloe Cup.
The Waratahs improved under the astute coaching of Michael Cheika last year and the coach has set the bar higher in 2014 – believing the pass mark is at least a finals berth.
Much interest will focus on Stadium Australia sporting ambassador Israel Folau who has rapidly developed into one of world rugby’s most potent attacking players. But so too will the fans be keen to appraise the performances of new recruit Kurtley Beale.

The three premium rugby matches will form part of another stellar year of sport at Stadium Australia, which will feature major events in all four football codes and cricket, plus a host of other entertainment acts and shows. Stay tuned for more news on the 2014 calendar.
