250,000 Fans Heading to ANZ Stadium to See Global Superstars

  • Return travel on Sydney Trains and Major Event Buses included in all tickets to Adele Live 2017 and Justin Bieber Purpose World Tour at Stadium Australia;
  • Concert goers should present their event ticket or Ticketek confirmation email at station or bus for return travel on Sydney Trains and Major Event Buses;
  • 250,000 fans will attend the three concerts, with some of the largest crowds at the Stadium since the 2000 Sydney Olympics;
  • Fans are strongly encouraged to take advantage of public transport, allow plenty of travel time and arrive early to make the most of the event.

MORE than 250,000 fans will pass through the turnstiles of Stadium Australia for three mammoth concerts from Friday as Sydney hosts a historic week in its entertainment history.

Global phenomenon Adele will kick off the blockbuster week on Friday 10 March and Saturday 11 March.

With 190,000 fans booked to see the pop diva over two massive nights, Adele Live 2017 is set to become two of the biggest events held at the Stadium since the Sydney 2000 Olympics. 

Sydney Olympic Park was built for blockbuster crowds and events, and the precinct will be pumping with international-themed food stalls, red carpet welcomes, photo-walls, Adele-themed trivia challenges, vox pops and plenty more pre-show experiences.

In the countdown to this special night in Sydney-entertainment history, here are the Top Tips for Adele Live 2017:

  • ALL tickets to Adele include return travel on public transport, and fans are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the additional and direct Trains and Major Event Buses in place. Concert goers need to present their event ticket or Ticketek confirmation email at the train station or on the bus for free return travel. See full traffic and transport information here;
  • WITH 95,000 fans expected each night, it is strongly recommended that concert goers collect their tickets prior to show day to avoid queues at the box office. Find your nearest Ticketek outlet here and don’t forget to bring your photo ID and Ticketek confirmation e-mail with you when collecting tickets. If you are unable to collect your tickets prior to the event, be sure to arrive early to avoid the queues. Box Offices A/B and J/K will be open for collections; 
  • WITH some of the biggest crowds since the Olympic Games, Adele Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early and leave the car at home;
  • GATES at Stadium Australia open at 5.30pm, with Adele taking to the stage at 7.30pm;
  • PUBLIC transport will be the most time-efficient way of getting to and from the event. You should plan ahead, arrive early and allow additional travel time;
  • DIRECT train services will run to Sydney Olympic Park leaving from: 
    • Central every 15 minutes from 4:53pm until 6pm and then every 7-8 minutes from 6pm until 10:30pm, stopping at Redfern and Strathfield. 
    • Campbelltown at 6:07pm, stopping all stations to Olympic Park via Granville.
    • Liverpool at 6:09pm, stopping all stations to Olympic Park via Granville.
  • SYDNEY Olympic Park Major Event Buses start running between 3pm and 4pm depending on the route and arrive at the precinct from around 5pm. Services continue to arrive into Olympic Park until 8:15pm.

Just four days on from Adele-mania, 70,000 Beliebers are due to descend upon Stadium Australia for Justin Bieber’s Purpose World Tour.

Touring in support of his fourth studio album Purpose – which debuted at #1 in over 100 countries and has sold over 8 million copies worldwide –  lucky ticket holders can look forward to hearing worldwide smash hits including ‘Love Yourself’, ‘What Do You Mean?’ and ‘Sorry’ live for the very first time. 

Top Tips for Justin Bieber’s Purpose World Tour:

  • ALL tickets to Justin Bieber include return travel on public transport and fans are advised to leave the car at home and take advantage of the Major Event Buses and direct rail services available for the event;
  • TO avoid delays at the box office, Justin Bieber fans are strongly encouraged to pick up their tickets prior to Show day, click here to find the Ticketek outlet closest to you;
  • GATES open at Stadium Australia at 5pm, with support act Sheppard at 6.15pm and Martin Garrix 7pm, before Justin Bieber kicks off at 8.15pm;
  • WITH weeknight traffic and 70,000 fans on the way, concert goers should plan their trip by visiting the Transport for NSW event page here and aim to arrive early.
  • DIRECT train services will run to Sydney Olympic Park leaving from: 
    • Central: An express service will leave central every 15 minutes from 4:55pm until 6:00pm and then every 7–8 minutes from 6:00pm until 11:00pm, stopping at Redfern and Strathfield.
    • Campbelltown: An additional service will run at 6:07pm, stopping all stations to Granville, Auburn then Olympic Park.
    • Liverpool: An additional service will run at 6:07pm, stopping all stations to Granville, Auburn then Olympic Park.
    • Blue Mountains Line: All trains arriving at Central between 6:00pm and 9:00pm will make an additional stop at Lidcombe.
  • SYDNEY Olympic Park Major Event Buses start running between 3pm and 4pm depending on the route and arrive at the precinct from around 5pm. Services continue to arrive into Olympic Park until 7:40pm.
