FANS hoping to see English Premier League giants Arsenal in Sydney for the first time in 40 years have a second window of opportunity, starting today (Sunday 23 October).

A second release of tickets are available from www.arsenalinsydney.com for the back-to-back blockbusters at Sydney’s Stadium Australia.

Arsenal – one of the most decorated clubs in English football and among the favourites for the 2016/17 season – will play Sydney FC on Thursday 13 July and then back up against Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday 15 July.

The hotly anticipated tour has been heavily supported with more than 80,000 tickets sold for the two matches and both games on track for a full house at Stadium Australia.

Of the 80,000 tickets already snapped up, more than 1200 have gone to overseas fans, with passionate Gunners fans flying in to Sydney from all around the globe.

More than 26,000 tickets have also gone to interstate visitors.

The second release of tickets for the Arsenal matches includes tickets across all categories, including family passes from $99 and a limited number of adult tickets from as low as $39.

Destination NSW estimates the Arsenal In Sydney Tour will generate about $18.6 million in tourism cash for NSW.

A third and final release of tickets will be made available in April.

Arsenal are committed to bringing their strongest possible squad for the two Sydney games.

The Gunners’ playing roster includes some of football’s brightest stars with names like Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Granit Xhaka lighting it up on a weekly basis at the Emirates.

“Everyone at Arsenal is looking forward to coming to Australia next summer. It’s been a long time since we’ve been Down Under and will be a great opportunity to give our passionate fans the chance to see the team in action,” an Arsenal FC spokesman said.

“The two matches against Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers will be an important part of our pre-season preparations and we intend to bring our strongest possible squad.”

Arsenal match-day experience comes to Stadium Australia

In an exciting initiative, the iconic English club will bring the Emirates Stadium experience to Stadium Australia, with themed supporter areas and bars to give fans an authentic Gunners event-day experience.

The northern stands of Stadium Australia will be transformed into the club’s celebrated North Bank for Gunners fans with supporters of Sydney FC (Thursday night) and Western Sydney Wanderers (Saturday night) taking over the southern stands, which will become The Clock End – just as it is at Emirates Stadium in North London.

For those rusted-on fans craving the ultimate Arsenal fan experience: you can join fellow Gunners tragics in The Foundry at Stadium Australia, which will feature a cocktail function with a 4-hour beverage package, entertainment and Category A seating.

Tickets to The Foundry at Stadium Australia are available here.

Given the cross-city rivals Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers drew an A-League record 61,880 to Stadium Australia for the recent Sydney Derby, Arsenal fans can expect some vocal opposition when they run out next July.
