THE major events keep rolling at Stadium Australia, with the 2017 Bledisloe Cup Test on Saturday 19 August the next sporting blockbuster on the calendar.

Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has called on all patriotic Australians to stand by the boys in green and gold and to pack out Stadium Australia for the ultimate trans-Tasman rivalry – Wallabies v All Blacks.

Good seats across all categories are still available here

The Australians have a proud record at Stadium Australia, having ended the All Blacks’ world-record run of Test match wins in 2014 with a fierce 12-all draw and then knocking them over 27-19 in 2015.

The All Blacks hit back strongly in 2016, however the New Zealanders’ record at the Sydney Olympic Park venue remains their least impressive of any major ground in world rugby . . . and that has much to do with the strong home support of The Gold Brigade in the stands at Stadium Australia.

Preparations are already underway with Wallabies players taking part in a brutal conditioning regime with their Rugby Championship training camp being held in Newcastle this week.

“If you want to be ready to play at the best level, that’s what you’ve got to do,” Michael Cheika told AAP.

You get a lot of respect for each other when you train hard and work hard with each other.

“You can see already the three or four days together in the different places (last week) and now together here, the way they work together, you start to feel the connections.

“In the tough matches, that’s what’s going to get you by, it’s the connection and the bond you’ve got as a team.”

BLEDISLOE CUP PRECINCT PARTY

Fans travelling to Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday 19 August will be able enjoy the traditional massive pre-game party in the precinct, kicking off at 4pm.

With live entertainment, pop-up cafes and the entire precinct bathed in gold there’ll be no better way to start the sporting feast than the party rockin’ and rollin’ outside Stadium Australia.

Cathy Freeman Park will be turned into a hive of activity with a giant inflatable Rugby field playing host to kids clinics and visits from Wallabies players.

There will also be theming inside the Stadium and the Wallabies’ vocal supporters’ group The Gold Brigade will take up residence in the northern stands.

Fans are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the cost of public transport being included in all tickets to the Bledisloe Cup game.

It’s been a year of massive events at Stadium Australia, and the Bledisloe Cup Test is always one of the highlights of the sporting year. So don your national colours and be in the stands for Wallabies v All Blacks.
