THE Sydney Roosters will aim to become the first club in 26 years to secure back-to-back titles, while the Canberra Raiders will be out to win their first premiership in 25 years . . . it’s a historic Grand Final either way at Stadium Australia this Sunday.
It’s all on the line as defending champions the Roosters meet the rampaging Raiders at NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final Sydney 2019.
The Raiders advanced to the Grand Final by beating South Sydney 16-10 on Friday night and their passionate supporters have vowed to stage the biggest Viking Clap in history before this year’s decider at Stadium Australia.
In the other Preliminary Final, the Roosters edged out the Melbourne Storm 14-6 on Saturday to give the club the opportunity to go back-to-back in 2018-2019.
NRL Grand Final Day kicks off at 12 noon this Sunday with a family-friendly NRL Zone in Sydney Olympic Park outside Stadium Australia.
The Stadium gates open at 1.15pm, with three Grand Finals to be played. Grand Final Entertainment is from 6.30pm, including an exclusive performance from world-renowned OneRepublic. Kick-off to the NRL Grand Final is at 7.20pm. The full Grand Final schedule can be found here.
