STADIUM home club rivals the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the South Sydney Rabbitohs will clash in a Thursday night blockbuster on 28 August in a dramatic countdown to the NRL finals series.
The NRL today released the draw for the final six rounds of the Telstra Premiership, with Stadium Australia to host six classic match-ups, including four Bulldogs games, three Rabbitohs games, and one each featuring the Wests Tigers and Parramatta Eels.
The Bulldogs meet the Rabbitohs in Round 25 – the second last round of the regular-season – in a match that will hold much interest for fans. Earlier this season, the Bulldogs edged out their great rivals 15-14 thanks to a late Trent Hodkinson field goal in front of a bumper Good Friday crowd of 43,255 at Stadium Australia.
Two NRL matches will be played at Stadium Australia in rounds 23 and 24, with the Rabbitohs and the Bulldogs featuring on both weekends. The Bulldogs’ games will be classic western Sydney derbies against the Eels (the Bandaged Bear Cup match on Friday 15 August) and the Tigers (Thursday 21 August).
The full draw for the final six rounds of the NRL Telstra Premiership can be found here.
