More than 260,000 fans have already attended games during #AwesomeAugust – a jam-packed month of sporting bliss featuring the NSW Waratahs’ Super Rugby Final triumph, Italian giants Juventus against Alessandro Del Piero’s A-League All Stars and an epic 12-all Bledisloe Cup Test.

Both the NRL and AFL Finals series present compelling storylines for sporting theatre at its very best.
The pride of AFL in Sydney, the Sydney Swans, have been the most dominant team in the code this year as they eye their first minor premiership since 1996. Swans superstar Lance “Buddy” Franklin has kicked 67 goals – nine goals ahead of his closest opponent, Jarryd Roughead – and is firmly set to take out his third Colemen Medal (2008, 20011).
A win for the Swans in their last regular-season game this Saturday at Stadium Australia will earn them the right to host a Week 1 Final at the Stadium. but they will have their hands full against a Richmond Tigers outfit that have won their last eight games and must win to make the Finals. The South Sydney Rabbitohs, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Penrith Panthers and Parramatta Eels could potentially feature in mouth-watering contests in Week 1 of the NRL Finals Series at Stadium Australia.
In a blockbuster Finals preview, the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs go toe-to-toe this Thursday at Stadium Australia. The Bulldogs are determined to earn a valuable top-four finish while the Rabbitohs are gunning for their first minor premiership since 1989. For more info and tickets, click here.
