MORE than 150,000 fans have packed into Accor Stadium to watch two of the biggest sporting events of the year . . . the historic first visit to Australia by La Liga superclub FC Barcelona followed two weeks later by the unforgettable opening game of the Ampol State of Origin series.
Live sport has roared back in Sydney with the 70,174 crowd for the Barca v A-Leagues All Stars game and the 80,512 for Origin 1 among the largest sporting attendances in Australia and the highest in Sydney since pre-pandemic 2019.
Many of these fans accessed these events through their Accor Stadium Membership, which ensured a premium seat at both games and access to exclusive bars and eateries, along with other benefits.
Others locked in their seats through Accor Stadium Official Hospitality, which allowed them to watch the games in style in Private Suites, Centreline Seats, Open Corporate Boxes or Function Rooms.
For Members and Corporate Guests, the live event experience is heightened by premium food and beverage offerings while watching the action from the best seats in the house.
Sandwiched between these two mighty sporting events, Stadium Members also revelled in the 2022 Accor Stadium Members’ Dinner and the rare opportunity to enjoy cocktails on the hallowed arena followed by an inspiring evening listening to sporting legends, all the while raising money for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
The good news is there is much, much more to come at Accor Stadium over the next 18 months, with Members and Corporate Guests having the opportunity to witness world-class sport and global entertainment acts.
NRL action featuring home clubs the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will come thick and fast in the next few weeks leading in to the NRL Finals and, finally, the NRL Grand Final at Accor Stadium on Sunday 2 October.
Scottish champions Celtic – coached by former Socceroos manager Ange Postecoglou – will take to Accor Stadium in the Sydney Super Cup on Sunday 20 October. Standby for a major announcement around this event and their opponents.
Accor Stadium Members will have an exclusive pre-purchase window for upcoming major global entertainment acts – Guns ‘N Roses on Sunday 27 November followed by Ed Sheeran on 24-25 February and golden boy Harry Styles on 3-4 March.
Corporate and premium experience packages remain available for all upcoming events, but the message is get in quick to avoid disappointment and to secure the best locations for your guests.
