YOU know the game; you know the man. But do you know his story?
The most successful Australian soccer coach in history, Ange Postecoglou, will bring his untold story LIVE to Sydney’s Aware Super Theatre (ICC Sydney) as part of Sydney Super Cup week.
Sydney Super Cup is a 3-match series featuring Scottish Premier League Champions Celtic and storied English Premier League club Everton, along with Sydney’s powerful A-Leagues franchises Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC.
Sharing his experiences as a Greece-born, Melbourne-raised passionate fan of football who went on to have incredible success as a player and coach, this show will cover the highlights and challenges of Ange Postecoglou’s journey so far.
We will take a deep dive into the mind and motivations of Australia’s most successful football manager and what it takes to be a leader at the highest level.
Ange spent the earlier years of his coaching career dominating the Australian football scene.
From rebuilding the Brisbane Roar – the team that under his leadership, holds the title for the most consecutive undefeated games – to leading the Socceroos to their stunning victory in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup – an Australian first.
In 2017 Ange was appointed head coach of Japan’s Yokohama F. Marinos and steered the club to their first J. League title in 15 years, making him the first Australian manager to win a league title in Japan.
In 2021 Ange was signed to the Scottish Premier League club Celtic, the most senior global appointment achieved by any Australian soccer coach and delivered them immediate success by winning the Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup.
Interviewed by James Bracey, this will be a unique opportunity to hear the untold story of Ange Postecoglou.
