THIS year, Stadium Australia has played host to some of the biggest names at the biggest games and events and it just keeps getting BIGGER.
Next comes Monster Jam As Big As It Gets – the world’s largest touring monster truck show – and they will be tearing around Stadium Australia on Saturday 19 October for the first and only Sydney show.
Imagine the sight and sound of 12 mammoth-sized trucks, more than three meters tall, weighing up to five tonnes ripping around a custom-designed track, smashing through obstacles and performing incredible stunts like backflips.
The Monster Jam team, based in the USA, have already touched down in Australia and to get in the zone they have been visiting a variety of locations to meet and greet local fans, including iconic Bondi where beach-goers were treated to the roar of the monster machine that is Grave Digger.
On Wednesday 9 October, Grave Digger and driver Dan Evans also paid a special visit to the brave children and families at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead – one of Stadium Australia’s official charity partners.
It was a morning of smiles, laughs, autographs and Beads of Courage – a program giving patients the chance to create a Monster Jam Thriller Necklace which aims to send the message that “you too are in the drivers’ seat and can crush your fears.”

Grave Digger and driver Dan Evans also visited Wollongong Crown Street Mall on Saturday 12 October and Penrith NRMA on Sunday 13 October. The next stop will be Stadium Australia on Saturday 19 October for a not-to-be-missed edge-of-your-seat experience.
Grave Digger and driver Dan Evans are just one part of the most intense family entertainment experience on the planet.
Tom Meents, driver of truck Max-D, will lead a twelve-driver line-up for the inaugural Sydney Monster Jam show. Meents, who is known for his backflips as well as running his truck to the ground, is arguably one of the biggest names in the sport and proves the Australian show will be nothing less than a full scale version of the American phenomenon.
