MORE than 150,000 fans have packed into Accor Stadium to watch two of the biggest sporting events of the year . . . the historic first visit to Australia by La Liga superclub FC Barcelona followed two weeks later by the unforgettable opening game of the Ampol State of Origin series.
Live sport has roared back in Sydney with the 70,174 crowd for the Barca v A-Leagues All Stars game and the 80,512 for Origin 1 among the largest sporting attendances in Australia and the highest in Sydney since pre-pandemic 2019.
