Nikkie Beltran

STONE Music Festival just got a whole lot bigger – legendary rock act Aerosmith has today been confirmed to join superstars Billy Joel and Van Halen in a two day once-in-a-lifetime music spectacular at Stadium Australia on 20-21 April.

All three rock icons will each be playing full 90-minute sets, with Aerosmith taking the stage immediately before Van Halen on Saturday 20 April.

Aerosmith‘s star is one that has shined bright through generations, first emerging on the scene in the early ‘70s with quintessential power ballads and platinum albums. The band continued their dominance of the charts in the 90’s with chart topping releases and Grammy Award-winning singles, before the band continued to release albums and tour throughout the 2000’s. In 2012, Aerosmith released their 15th studio album, Music From Another Dimension.

Billy Joel ranks as one of the world’s most popular recording artists and respected entertainers, with a career spanning more than 40 years. The music legend has had 33 Top 40 hits and sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Sunday 21 April will be a night to remember with an extraordinary one-off exclusive performance.

Van Halen has not toured Australia since 1998. Reunited with dynamic, charismatic front man David Lee Roth, a global smash hit recent album – A Different Kind Of Truth – their first in 12 years and ranked Top 5 in the ARIA charts in 2012, Van Halen are back armed with all their hits. The band’s one-off exclusive show on Saturday 20 April will be the first time the original founding line up of David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen and Alex Van Halen have graced our shores.

An array of international and Australian rock acts will also feature in the two day line-up including Buckcherry, Richie Ramone, Lifehouse and rock supergroup Kings of Chaos, including members of legendary band Guns ‘N’ Roses.

Australian rockers The Living End and the reformed Superjesus will also share the Saturday stage, while International rockers Illumination Road will join the sensational Billy Joel on Sunday – with a stellar line-up of acts still to be announced.

Australian rockers Jimmy Barnes, The Living End, Noiseworks, Ian Moss and the reformed Superjesus will also share the Saturday stage, while Icehouse, Guy Sebastian, Diesel, Shannon Noll, Illumination Road, Dallas Frasca and Mark Moroney will join the sensational Billy Joel on Sunday.
With a maximum 25,000 reserved seating capacity for each day, all ticket tiers afford music fans clear sight lines from all seat locations.
