SATURDAY’S highly-anticipated South Sydney Rabbitohs v Cronulla Sharks NRL Round 1 fixture at Stadium Australia will be a breeze for Members and supporters with confirmation that train travel to and from Sydney Olympic Park is included in all Club Memberships and match-day tickets.
The transport deal is in place for all SEVEN Rabbitohs’ home games at Stadium Australia this season, with fans able to access return travel on Sydney Trains and Sydney Metro services.
After Saturday night’s season opener, the Rabbitohs have huge home games against the Sydney Roosters in Round 3 on Friday 27 March and against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Good Friday (Round 5, 10 April).
Stadium Australia CEO Daryl Kerry today thanked the NSW Government, its agencies Venues NSW and Transport for NSW, along with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, for agreeing to the public transport initiative.
“We are extremely excited for the NRL season ahead and we want every part of the event experience to be enjoyable for fans,” Mr Kerry said. “Having the cost of train travel to and from games included in Memberships and match-day tickets makes it easier and more affordable for fans to get to the Stadium to see the footy live.
“We encourage Members and supporters to take advantage of the transport arrangements and to come out to see Rabbitohs v Sharks at the family-friendly time of 5.30pm on Saturday.”
Special limited-stop supporter trains will run from Central and Cronulla Stations to Sydney Olympic Park this Saturday, making public transport the easiest way to get to the footy for fans.
