THE world’s most popular children’s entertainment group The Wiggles will perform live at Stadium Australia this Sunday before the Tigers v Bulldogs blockbuster, as the NSW sporting community rises for injured star Alex McKinnon.
And as part of a special day on the NRL calendar, there will be:
- FREE entry to Stadium Australia for all NRL ticketed club Members;
- FREE entry to Stadium Australia for anyone who buys a ticket to an NRL Round 19 game this weekend.
The Wiggles will perform a live celebration before the 3pm kickoff to the Round 19 Sydney derby between Wests Tigers and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Wests Tigers fan, Blue Wiggle Anthony Field said the group was excited about helping Alex with Sunday’s concert.
“We can’t wait to get the crowd up, singing and dancing for Alex” Anthony said.
“The Wests Tigers v Bulldogs game would have been an exciting event anyway as we are all huge Rugby League fans and so to be part of an event with the NRL Community that helps one of our own, Alex McKinnon, in his time of need, will be such a wonderful experience.”
In addition to The Wiggles special live performance, Stadium Australia is serving up a giant sausage sizzle starting at midday outside Gate L with all proceeds going to the RiseForAlex Fund.
Additional activities include:
- Face Painters
- Balloon Artists
- Jumping Castles
- Airbrush Tattoo Artists
- Colouring in Competitions
- Wests Tigers themed activations including a ‘Pass the Ball’ competition
- Autograph area
The activities will take place both outside the Stadium (at the Training Facility opposite P1) and inside the Stadium (at the south west terrace and concourse).
In a special arrangement, all NRL Club ticketed members as well as anyone who holds a ticket to any Round 19 NRL match, can gain free access to the Wests Tigers v Bulldogs game at Stadium Australia. To take advantage of this opportunity, simply show your ticketed Club membership card or Round 19 NRL event ticket at Gate B or Gate K on the day, with general admission seating available in Aisles 115-126 and Aisles 134-145.
The NRL will contribute $1 for every fan who attends any game during round 19 to the RiseForAlex Fund. Stadium Australia will also donate an additional $1 for every Stadium Australia Member and their guests who attend this Sunday’s match.
Fans can show their support to the RiseForAlex Fund by donating online at www.riseforalex.org.au, purchasing a RiseForAlex wristband which will be available at the Stadium, or by sending a RiseForAlex SMS to 0498 555 555.
With a bumper crowd expected, be sure to arrive early and take advantage of the free return train travel included in all tickets.
